Founder Jhana Goldenflame started Felis Fortuna after fostering her first litter of kittens during one of the darkest periods of her life. Those tiny creatures became unexpected anchors— tiny mewing reminders that love continues even when life falls apart, that our bond with animals can heal what feels broken, and that the presence of beauty is created through the care we choose to give.

With new kittens came the need for cat furniture, and what Jhana found felt like a betrayal: flimsy particleboard destined for landfills, plastic-wrapped towers devoid of soul, expensive pieces that treated both cats and our homes as afterthoughts. None of it honored the profound role these animals play in our lives — precious companions who walk alongside us on this path and love us unconditionally, no matter what life brings, or the beauty and wonder they add to our homes.

The earth gives us everything: life, love in the form of our relationship to the living world, and materials to build with. Jhana believes that how we live matters and that we should live in reverence for this truth. The objects we bring into our homes are not neutral.
